The CEECN is proud to announce, that two new members has joind to our network -The PACT Foundation from Romania and TERRA - 1530 from Moldova. By them, our geographical coverage has extended to 18 countries.

Know a bit more about the new members.

Foundation PACT is a non-governmental and non-profit organisation, involved in the area of community development and social economy.


PACT's mission is to contribute to the sustainable development of the community by promoting local and regional initiatives, partnership and social responsibility. To that end, PACT focuses on the following objectives:

  • Civil society development in urban and rural areas;
  • Development of theory and practice in the field of community development;
  • Stimulating the social responsibility of individuals, communities and businesses;
  • Empowering marginalised and disadvantaged groups and encouraging them to improve living conditions in their communities;
  • Supporting participatory practices and partnership;
  • Promoting and supporting local and regional socio-economic initiatives.

PACT team has expertise in training and consultancy projects in the field of community development, participatory planning, project planning and management, organisational development, public relations and fund raising, financial education and entrepreneurship. PACT has experience in small-grant funding.

PACT runs projects of local development in south Romania (Oltenia and Muntenia), offering training, facilitation, consultancy and small-scale funding to community groups and organisations. PACT supports the community development sector in Romania and Central and Eastern Europe through various studies and pieces of research, training sessions for professionals working within this field and internship opportunities for students. PACT wishes to encourage the development of the social economy sector in Romania, by organising meetings and workshops with organisations and institutions active in the field and by running innovative projects of local economy development.

 

 

 

TERRA - 1530 from Moldova (www.terra1530.md).

We have the mission to create and consolidate the capacities Sustainable Development of rural communities.

Activities: we publish the independent periodical ADEVARUL (Truth).(check out the latest edition here)

NGO “Terra-1530” is an umbrella-organization for other 18 ones: “Terra-HS”; Association for Youth Promotion “21 Century” etc.

The first step to create The Moldovan Network of Rural Volunteering Centers for Water (MNRVCW) was done in 2003 (monitoring macro invertebrates; Youth Water Parliament etc). Mission – transferable because The MNRVCW can its activities can include other villages, countries on local, regional, national, European and International level.

The MNRVCW will make an important contribution to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, to all of which water plays a crucial role.
